Age of empires i & ii freezing in windows 7 64bit i have age of empires collector's edition, which has i, ii, and their expansions, and none of them will work. i tried to verify the compatibility of the program with windows 7 and found that the game is not compatible with windows 7 64 bit. closing explorer did not work for. Will 16-bit programs run on 64-bit windows xp, as they don't run on 64-bit windows 7? the main program i am installing the second os for is age of empires ii. i have tried virtual pc but the emulated graphics card used in it does not support directdraw, making windows xp mode useless to me.. In windows 7 compatibility center, age of empires 2 is compatible with windows 7 64bit. now aoe 2 works in windows 7 64 bit. i piece these fixes from numerous sites and repair attempts. found these to work and everything is running now..
